Amsterdam Missions

Missions Overview

What started as a conversation over lunch in early January is coming to life! Due to the war in Ukraine, there are approximately 150,000 Ukrainians in the Netherlands, double the amount than surrounding countries such as Belgium. Brussels (capital of Belgium) has 3 churches, yet despite there being twice as many Ukrainians in Netherlands, there was no Ukrainian Pentecostal church in Amsterdam even though there are evangelical believers there already who have been praying for a church for almost a year!

Our team partnered with a local church in Brussels, Belgium to help plant a church in the heart of Amsterdam this summer. Throughout the work, we've seen God's hand open so many doors for us despite facing many uncertainties and setbacks.

Now, there are more than 50 people who regularly attend Sunday services, the church has already hosted a baptism, various connect groups meet weekly, and a couple is even getting married! God has just begun to work with the church in Amsterdam and we are ever so grateful to have been a part of that story. After all, we are just His tools that He doesn't need to use but does because He loves us.

The church officially opened mid-July and has continued to grow as the work continues.

While we’re not sending big teams to Amsterdam at the moment, there are always opportunities to go and serve with the local team there. Whether it be for a week, a month, or even longer, if you feel the call to go and serve the Ukrainian refugee community in Amsterdam fill out the form and we’ll connect you with the team there!
